Minyak zaitun yang dihasilkan di kawasan gurun berbatu di atlas Morocco adalah sangat berkhasiat. Berbanding minyak-minyak lain di sekitar kawasan Mediterannean dan di luar sana, OLIVIE Plus 30X mengandungi 30 kali ganda lebih polifenol: tirosol dan hidroksitirosol dengan kadar yang tidak pernah dijumpai dalam sebarang makanan sebelum ini: 30 kali ganda (240 mg/kg) berbanding sebarang minyak zaitun “extra-virgin” konvensional (8 mg/kg). Menghindari Alzheimer, menghindari penuaan pramatang dalam sel-sel dan organ tubuh kita, menghindari kanser, menghindari penyakit jantung, kolesterol tinggi, angin ahmar… Pendek kata, kesihatan kita sepanjang abad yang mendatang, inilah permintaan kita yang paling besar.

Hidroksitirosol adalah sejenis agen antihipertensi. Di samping meningkatkan pengaliran koronari, ia juga bertindak sebagai anti-arrhythmic… Hidroksitirosol mengawal metabolisma lipid (kolesterol dan trigliserida), selain merendahkan kadar lipoprotin yang berat molekulnya rendah (LDL – kolesterol yang tidak baik untuk kesihatan) di dalam darah. Ini berpunca daripada penghalangan kolesterol oleh hidroksitirosol dan enzim HMG-CoA reductase, satu enzim utama dalam biosintesis kolesterol.

Kesan biologi
Minyak zaitun yang kaya dengan polifenol membenarkan pencegahan dan rawatan bagi penyakit kardiovaskular. Polifenol dari minyak zaitun dapat:
– Menggalakkan pengurangan molekul-molekul yang melekat kepada sel-sel badan,
– Meningkatkan nitik oksida,
– Menyekat pengumpulan platelet,
– Merangsang agen-agen antioksida endogen untuk merencatkan arteriosklerosis LDL,
– Mengurangkan tindakbalas radang.
